            General Accounting Officer (M/F)


Your mission

As General Accounting Officer of BNPP AM Luxembourg, the role holder will report to the Local CFO. Finance Production is in charge of the daily maintenance of all accounting elements of the Management Company.

The main assignments consist in:

  • Handling in a timely and efficient manner all tasks related to the invoices received directly by the Management Company or on behalf of Investment Funds;
  • Ensuring the preparation of the payment of the suppliers and the related matching with bank accounts;
  • Performing an adequate cost accounting entry of the invoices enabling the preparation of targeted reports on costs evolution;
  • Establishing various analyses requested in the framework of the monthly reporting to Global Finance;
  • Acting as an efficient back-up for persons in charge of the booking of all Fund related fees;
  • Contributing to the performance of monthly key controls on the main revenue flows of the Management Company;
  • Participating in an active and constructive manner to the organization of the local Finance Department.

The role holder contributes to the development of the organizational culture, values and reputation of the local operations and to the development of relationships across BNP Paribas Group.

The main responsibilities of a General Accounting Officer are as follows:

• Accounting environment: to ensure a smooth implementation and efficient operating of the Finance application, to ensure the coordination of the various revenues and expenses flows of the Management Company. 

• TAX : Good knowledge in the VAT and Corporate Tax rules.

• Accounting of BNPP AM Lux: to maintain all accounting files up to date, to register any book entries and bank movements, to overview the suppliers’ ledger and the issuance of invoices, to make payments and ensure the follow-up of suspense items.

• Financial Reporting: to participate in reporting preparation and ensure they are properly and timely prepared, to check accounting results consistency.

• Contact with Auditors: to provide auditors the supporting documentation requested.

• Changes and developments: to interact with the Finance Permanent Controller and apply any procedure changes and enhancements. 

• Risk Control: to ensure a proper control of the accounting risks, to apply level 1 controls, to contribute to the development and maintenance of an appropriate environment control within the entity.

Working environment

You will join a team of six people in charge of all financial aspects of the management company.

Your profile

Academic background : Bachelor or Masters Degree validated (Accounting, Economics or Finance) 

Experience : an experience in a similar role will be appreciated

Behavioural skills

  Strong analytical and organisational skills

Technical and langages Skills 

 Experience in Accounting and Finance combined with an in-depth knowledge of Financial Services and/or financial aspects of the Fund Industry.

 Fluency in written and spoken French and English languages.
