Group BNP Paribas in Luxembourg About BNP Paribas

« Together, let’s value our differences »

BNP Paribas has long recognised and valued diversity as both an important issue and a question of social responsibility. In a changing and increasingly open world, employees and customers truly are diverse. And companies need to understand that fact to ensure both employee harmony and business continuity.

In November 2012 senior managers from eight BNP Paribas Group entities in Luxembourg publicly told their employees in Luxembourg that they were committed to diversity. They also set out five related objectives.

Then, on 11 March 2013, the CEOs of all eight entities (Carlo Thill for BGL BNP Paribas, Frédéric Perard for BNP Paribas Securities Services, Fabrice Bagne for Cardif Lux Vie, Sylvie Baijot for BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Luxembourg, Robert Christophory for BNP Paribas Lease Group Luxembourg, Noël Didier for Fidupar, Gerry Wagner for Arval and Jean-Yves Marquet for BNP Paribas Real Estate) made a public commitment to pursue efforts to build a more inclusive company. This will benefit all the bank’s Luxembourg-based employees as well as its hundreds of thousands of domestic and international customers.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is the twelfth European country to adopt a national charter that encourages diversity. To mark the second official signing ceremony, in the presence of Marie-Josée Jacobs, Minister for the Family and Integration, the CEOs of the eight entities publicly signed the la charte de la Diversité Lëtzebuerg.

The eight BNP Paribas Group entities in Luxembourg are now among 70 companies that have adopted the charter since it was launched in October 2012.
