Jacques Faveyrol, 47, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cardif Lux Vie with effect from 1 July 2014.
Mr Faveyrol has extensive experience of the insurance industry. A graduate of Centre d’Etudes Actuarielles (CEA) and ESSEC and a certified member of the Institut des Actuaires, he started his career as a technical sales representative at UAP Vie in France (1990-1994), going on to serve as Country Manager at UAP International (1994-1996). He subsequently joined Swiss Re as a pricing actuary (1996-2000), and later became Marketing Director Life & Health in France (2000-2005).
In 2005 he moved to BNP Paribas Cardif as Actuarial Director for protection. He became Chief Actuary of BNP Paribas Cardif in 2009 and was appointed to the Executive Committee in March 2013.
As CEO of Cardif Lux Vie, Mr Faveyrol will be responsible for growing the company’s business both in Luxembourg and in the countries where it operates, namely France, Italy, Belgium, the UK, Spain and Portugal. He will continue to serve on the Supervisory Boards of BNP Paribas Cardif companies in the Netherlands.
