Presentation of two cheques worth a total of 10,000 euro

BGL BNP Paribas presented two cheques to the charity RAHNA “Muppen ënnerstëtze Leit am Rollstull” in a ceremony at corporate headquarters on 27 February 2014. The donation followed a joint decision by two of the bank’s departments, Business Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking (Treasury), to support RAHNA by replacing traditional end-of-year gifts with a joint donation. With representatives from the contributing departments in attendance, two cheques worth a total of EUR 10,000 were presented to the charity’s managers.

Founded in November 2002, RAHNA raises funds to finance training for guide dogs, with a view to making them freely available to people who suffer from reduced mobility, have a physical or mental disability, or are affected by a debilitating illness such as diabetes or epilepsy. During their special training, which begins at 2 months and lasts for two years, the dogs learn more than 50 specific commands. RAHNA is run on an entirely volunteer basis.

This initiative shows once again how BGL BNP Paribas is making good on its commitment to be a responsible bank and illustrates its active participation in community actions.
