BGL BNP Paribas is hosting an exhibition featuring some 30 original modern paintings from its private collection. Titled “ŒuvresChoisies”, or Selected Works, the show will run from 10 January to 28 February 2014 at the “Villa” Private Banking Centre.

On display will be works produced between 1980 and 1995 by world-renowned artists such as Frank Stella, Claude Viallat, Günther Förg, A.R. Penck, Markus Lüperz and Rosemarie Trockel.

The retrospective presents a diversified overview of contemporary art, showing the creative itineraries followed by painters during the period. Visitors can discover a broad range of movements ranging from Pop Art and Conceptual Art to a search for different forms of pictorial representation.

Importantly, most of the works are on public display for the first time.

BGL BNP Paribas is organising the show as part of its cultural sponsoring policy. It has supported the art world for many years, organising exhibitions and arranging cultural partnerships and sponsorships.

The exhibition is open to the public from 10 January to 28 February 2014.
